Cape Dutch, a modern South African steakhouse, opened its doors in fall 2015 from restaurateur Justin Anthony and hospitality group True Story Brands, deriving an unforgettable menu and interior design from the influence of South African wine country. An upscale dining destination revitalizing the Morningside neighborhood, Cape Dutch celebrates the traditional South African braai, with an open-faced grill as the focal point of the restaurant, a menu featuring prime grilled steaks, seafood and vegetables and a social atmosphere. Executive chef Philippe Haddad, a Bruges, Belgium native with more than 30 years of restaurant experience, delivers international cuisine to the developing neighborhood, perfectly complemented by a globally sourced wine list, hand-selected by our sommelier on the floor and lavish bar program.
